Shimmer Polish: Liana, Jasmine, Cristina, Tammy, Alice

A few weeks ago Cindy from Shimmer Polish sent me 10 beautiful glittering bottles to review. I finally had time so start swatching and today I will show you the first five polishes, including Liana, Jasmine, Cristina, Tammy and Alice. All of the polishes are named after Cindy's friends, which is such a sweet idea! They come in bottles of 15 ml and are sold for 12 $ each at her Etsy store. You could even personalize a polish's name and color yourself for 15 $. Some of the colors are also available on Harlow & Co. Make sure to click on the pictures for an extra dose of glitter. This post contains three pictures per polish, so you can see more after the jump!

Shimmer Polish - Liana
This one is actually my favorite! Liana has a sheer black base with a lot of blue glitter. I used three coats for an opaque result and one coat of BTGN Top Sealer on top. Formula was great and even if I swatched it on its own, this one looks stunning over a dark blue base! (Head over to Nailderella to see what I'm talking about!)

Shimmer Polish - Jasmine
Jasmine has a sheer brownish base with turquoise green, golden and a bit of red glitters. I used three coats again with one coat of BTGN Top Sealer on top and application was great.

Shimmer Polish - Cristina
Cristina is a mixture of dark green and red glitters in a sheer brownish base. I used only two coats for an opaque result because the glitter was very dense in this one. Again no problems with the formula.

Shimmer Polish - Tammy
This one is again the sheer brownish base this time with purple, golden and black glitter. If this was my polish, I would have probably added some green glitter to make it even more "Mardi Gras"! So cool! It's also the first one with square glitter (I'm missing a word here, but you know which one I mean). Again great formula and BTGN on top.

Shimmer Polish - Alice
Alice has a clear base with a lot of silver glitter, sometimes even with a hint of holographic rainbow glitter. I even saw a tiny star-shaped one flying around in there, but it didn't make it on the nail. I used three coats and one coat of BTGN Top Sealer.

I'm not a big fan of that complete glitter and a few of the polishes seemed a bit random in color combination to me. But some of them surprised me on the nails, especially Liana and Tammy are favorites for me! All of them are great quality and I think compared to other indie polishes the price is okay. So if you love glitter, you will definitely love these! I'm really curious of the next five shades and how they're going to surprise me, once painted on the nails. Thanks for reading!

    1. I didn't wear them yet, just swatching. But my guess would be yes, they will be difficult to take off! Unless you soak them a bit with remover or use a peel off base coat, just like with any other glitter polish ;)
