I was a bit disappointed about the size of my MoYou London plates from the Pro Collection #10 because they are really small for my thumb nails (my fault though, I didn't read the description!). So I thought the best way to use these images would be a skittle manicure, so that I could design every nail in a different way. Roy Lichtenstein / Pop Art is a great way of doing skittle nails, since everything is colorful anyway. I prepared some nail polish decals using three of the stamping images and then colored them with acrylic paint. On my thumb and pinky nails I made a simple polka dot design with Flormar - 400 and Essie - Really Red. I'm not too happy with both of the speech bubbles because my black polish (H&M - Manhunter) really isn't the best choice for stamping. I guess I'm once again on the hunt for a new opaque black! On top is one coat of Essence - BTGN High Gloss.
These nails look great. Have you tired Cult Nails Nevermore or A England's black polish? They both work great for stamping.
AntwortenLöschenThank you! I haven't tried these two, but they will go on my list!
LöschenI love this mani.
AntwortenLöschenI have the same plate but had problems with my stamper so haven't used it yet.
Born pretty stamping polish in black is pretty good. :)x
Thank you! I hope you can use it soon, I love MoYou London :) I will check out the BPS polish!
LöschenFantastisch! Wow!
Stamping like a boss. They're perfect! :D
AntwortenLöschenThank you! <3
LöschenI love your stamping ideas. I actually generally love your manicures, so that comes as no surprise :)
AntwortenLöschenMy favorite black is from "Oh so wet" which I got from Ninja Polish. All their polishes stamp amazingly well.
Wow, thank you so much! :) I will check these out as well, Ninja polish sounds good!
LöschenBeautiful nails! My favorite black polish - both for using as is and for stamping - is Essie Licorice. It's the best black I've tried :)
AntwortenLöschenThank you! I think I even have a half empty bottle of Licorice here, but it got a bit gooey.. Maybe it will still work!
Löschensoo coool!!! - just one of my favourites!! love it!! : )
AntwortenLöschenThank you my dear!
LöschenOoooh this is so fun! :-D Love it.
AntwortenLöschenThank you! :)
LöschenYou're so right... Lichtenstein's art is totally skittle-worthy! Fabulous!
AntwortenLöschenHello. Nice coincidence, i've made the same design a few month ago :) But i've made it fully by hand. It is link on my photo http://vk.com/photo-52440300_316292353?rev=1
AntwortenLöschenWow, I love it! Great freehand skills! :)
LöschenThank you! I really like your designs
LöschenI love this! I want to try these images for stamping decals too, but I haven't done any stamping decals yet... they seem difficult! This weekend I'm going to try it though :)
AntwortenLöschenThank you! I'm sure you can do it! Just take your time with painting them and letting them dry and you will be fine :)
LöschenThey look amazing! Have just bought my first MoYou London stamping plates, too. They have some great designs! But I need more practice... I was struggling to get the designs transferred.
