OPI - Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 Collection

I had the pleasure to review 12 of the 18 polishes in the newest OPI collection for Christmas 2014 called Gwen Stefani Holiday for OPI*. The collection was created with Gwen Stefani and contains colors from red to purple, green, silver and gold plus four glitter top coats and a golden flakie top coat. It will be available at the end of October 2014. As always, you can find more information about OPI on the OPI Swiss website or their Facebook page. I swatched every color with two coats without base or top coat and I will write a little note for each color this time. Overall I think it's a nice collection, but not too exciting. There are a few colors which stand out for me though: Cinnamon Sweet, Comet in the Sky, Sleigh Parking Only and First Class Desires. Pictures after the jump!

How To Organise Your Nail Polish Collection - Nail Fan

At the beginning of my nail polish collection I used nail wheels to swatch my colors. But with time that got pretty annoying since my collection grew faster and I couldn't sort the wheels by color. So I stopped swatching until this week. You might ask yourself, why I did it in the first place. Swatching on plastic makes it really easy to pick a color for a design or to search for dupes and compare colors.

So I decided to start all over again and ordered something awesome on Ebay. It's called nail fan and consists of plastic nails on a flat stick with a screw to hold them together. They're sold for about 3$ per 50 pieces and I got myself 200 pieces to start with. They're available in clear and white, so you can choose your preferred base for the nail polish. I used 2 coats of each color and for my flakies etc. I used a black base to display them properly.

Then I wrote the name and brand of each color onto the stick with a black marker. I have done 50 colors until now and hope to have my whole collection displayed soon. What I have to figure out now is how I'm going to sort them. I will probably go for color grading because it looks prettier. I have them sorted by brand in my Helmer, so I can look them up without searching too much.
