Stargazer Chrome Stamping with Pearls

From time to time I go through the digital edition of Nails Magazine to see what the pros are doing. On the cover of the February issue I've seen some really awesome white-silver nails with pearls on top and I tried to recreate them on my own nails. They used exclusive nail foils to create the chrome pattern (p. 63), but I don't have any similar foils at the moment, so I decided to use Stargazer Chrome and my Dashica Big SdP D stamping plate. I started with two coats of Essie - Blanc and one coat of BTGN Top Sealer. Then I added the stamping and wasn't sure about the pearls anymore. My stamping was not as detailed as the nail foil and in addition my nails are shorter which made the pearls look a bit too much. I decided to add them just on top of the nail and in a straight line to avoid a busy design. On top I added another coat of BTGN Top Sealer.

Chrome looks better in real, I love the mirror effect! It looks best with stamping because there are no brush strokes, but on its own Chrome is still very beautiful. If you're looking for a mirror effect nail polish, you might wanna check this one out! 

Halloween Stamping: Scream

This is one of my favorite stamping designs on my Dashica Big Sdp D plate and it fits perfectly for Halloween. I wasn't sure about my color choice first and I tried a few with orange and purple, pink and black etc. but then I decided that a simple black and white would fit best for this design. I started with three coats of Essie - Blanc to get a very opaque base for my stamping. Then I added one coat of Essie - Good To Go to let it dry completely and to protect my base in case something went wrong with the stamping. After that I used Wet 'n' Wild - Black Creme and the above-mentioned design to create the scary faces on my base. On top is one coat of Essence BTGN Top Sealer. 

I'm planning on doing two more Halloween designs this year, one tomorrow and one on Wednesday. I can tell you that Pusheen will be involved once again and hopefully some pretty water decals I ordered on Ebay. I really hope they will be here in time! After that I'm done with Halloween and will move on to snowflakes, reindeers and Co! Since we already had our first snowfall here I think that moving on to winter will be fine ;) 

Brown - Copper Stamping feat. Penny Talk

I loved the colors of my last Ruffian Nail design so much that I had to do another one with the same colors. And I discovered that Penny Talk is an awesome polish for stamping nail art!

So these are once again two coats of Catrice - Lost In Mud as my base color. Then I chose one of my Dashica stamping designs from the Big Sdp D plate and started stamping with Essie - Penny Talk. 

On top is one coat of Essie - Good To Go. No smudging and perfect coverage with my stamp, I definitely love Penny Talk!

Watercolor Nails (Plastic Bag Method)

Pinterest is always a great source of inspiration to me and once again I discovered an awesome tutorial for some nail art. The technique is called Watercoloring and there are two ways to do Watercolor Nails. One involves acetone and a brush and I failed big time. 

The other one is described by Polish and Pearls, check out her video and picture tutorials to see how it is done.

I used Essie - Blanc as a base and then added blobs of random black, grey and white nail polish. What I found to be most important is the amount of nail polish you use. Don´t be scared of flooding your cuticles, clean up won´t be too hard if you use a toothpick right away to clean up the edges of your nails. First I didn´t make the blobs big enough and you can see in the following picture how it looked like.

It just looks better with the right amount of polish, so the colors can blur on the nail. Drying time wasn´t too bad either, I expected worse. On top I´m wearing one coat of Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat. 

I decided to do a stamping on top with a silver stamping polish from Essence and Dashica Big Sdp D, what else.  I don´t like it too much though, it is not really my style.

White on Blue & Blue on White (Ebalay Matte)

I´ve rediscovered stamping! Today´s design is made with two matte nail polishes from Ebalay which I received for review. I decided to combine them in a design instead of just showing you the swatches. 

The white nail polish is Ebalay - White Matte. It would be a pretty good white relating to opacity but the drying time and the formula aren´t too good. It is rather clumpy and needs some effort to apply and then it doesn´t dry as quickly as I hoped. I had to use nail polish thinner on this one to receive a better formula.

On my ring finger I used Ebalay - Blue Matte which is an awesome dark blue and looks great on its own. Here I didn´t have any problems with the formula and it is opaque with one coat. 

The stamping is once again from my Dashica stamping plate Big Sdp D which you can find here. 

On top before and after the stamping is one coat of Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat.

Just to show you how pretty the Blue Matte is on its own, here is a picture I took some time ago. It looks purple though, but dark blue it is.

Neon Pink & Mint Starfish Nails (Mint Candy Apple / Pool Party)

This is one of the designs on my Dashica stamping plate that I haven´t used yet. It is from the Big Sdp D plate. 

For the base color I added two coats of Essie - Mint Candy Apple. My bottle is half empty now and this is definitely a nail polish I´m gonna buy again. Before the stamping I added one coat of Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat.

I chose China Glaze - Pool Party as my neon stamping polish and it worked perfectly. I love those two colors together! 

Another coat of Revlon Quick Dry top coat and that´s it!
